The Age Inclusive Resource Portal was jointly developed by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP), and the tripartite partners, Ministry of Manpower, National Trades Union Congress and Singapore National Employers Federation. This portal is a further development of the “Re-Employment Web Portal” which was initiated in 2008 under the Tripartite Committee (Tricom) on Employability of Older Workers. The Tricom recommends measures to enhance the employability of older workers.
The Age Inclusive Resource Portal aims to:
- Be a one-stop resource platform for employers to access content and tools to help them implement age management practices at their workplaces.
- Give employees and the public information about age management practices and offer viable options that are best suited to their needs.
TAFEP promotes positive perceptions of older workers among employers, employees and the general public. As mindset change is at the crux of improving the employability of older workers, TAFEP’s efforts are targeted at raising awareness and facilitating the adoption of progressive HR policies and practices. TAFEP provides resources and tools including training workshops, and educational materials to enable employers to adopt age management practices so that they can better recruit, manage and retain older workers.
